So here they are.
I made a simple Sponge Cake and as a frosting I used Philadelphia Milka. Actually you can use the cake of your taste. Mostly every cake will be ok, it just shouldn´t be too juicy. So if you use a chocolate cake you can use a cream chesse as a frosting and just add a little bit sugar, so the finished product won´t get to sweet.
I coated my Cake Pops with couverture. A better way to coat them would be with Candy Melts. They make a smoother surface and you don´t need to color them.
Sponge Cake
Ingredients:
5 eggs
150 g confectioner´s sugar
100 g flour
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 220°C.
Seperate the eggs. Beat the egg white until it´s stiff. Beat the egg yolk with the sugar. Fold the flour and the stiff egg white in the egg-sugar mix.
Bake for about 5-10 minutes until it´s lightly golden.
crumble the cake
add the Philadelphia, 1 spoon at a time, 2-3 spoons should be enough
the dough should be like Play Doh
make little balls
melt white couverture
dip the stick in the couverture
put the sticks in the balls (next time I´ll use real Pop Cake sticks)
put the Cakes Pops in the fridge, 1 hour
coat the Cakes Pops with couvertur, decorate and put them back in the fridge
I stuck the Cake Pops in a shoe box, just made small holes in the lid so the Cake Pops are right side up
finished
