I found this delicious looking cake on the internet. The photo got my attention. It looks like a three layered cake. And I thought mhmm...maybe I should make a three layered cake when I have time someday.
I read the recipe and thought...three layered cake? Everything at the same time in the oven? Three layered cake? What?
It works. This cake is so simple and it is three layered. So cool.
A cake to impress people.
I made this cake the first time when my friend came over for coffee (every time when I write ore read the word coffee I want one) and she couldn't believe this is baked all at once.
Have I told you. It is really baked all at once.
I had just some problems baking it the first time. The batter is really liquid and I used a springform baking tin. I guess you know what happened. The springform leaked.
So don't use a springform.
Ingredients:
4 eggs, room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
150 g sugar
125 g butter, melted
115 g all purpose flour
500 ml milk, lukewarm
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 165°C.
Sperate eggs and beat the egg whites stiff. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar until light. Add the melted butter and the vanilla extract and continue beating for some more minutes. Add the flour and mix it.
Slowly start adding the milk and beat until everything is well mixed together. Add the egg whites, a third at a time and gently fold them in.
Pour the batter into a 20x20 cm baking tin. NOT A SPRINGFORM. And bake for 40 to 70 minutes until the top is golden.
The baking time could vary greatly depending on the oven, so take a peek at around 40 minutes and see how it looks.
Tadaaaa three layerd cake!
My cake doesn't have three layers on the photo. Why is that?
Even on my iPhone photo you see the three layers.
Whatever.
I used some lemon juice this time instead of the vanilla extract. Mjami.....
